Description
Passionate about the Lotus Elise, owning the full S1 range, I am putting up for sale this very beautiful S1 111S (VVC engine 145hp, short-gearbox).
Rare and high-performance model (about 1, 400 units produced worldwide). I imported it from England while it had a full history (since its purchase invoice) and was second-hand.
It is azure blue / black leather interior, original hard top always mounted on the car! (Alone it’s worth around €2, 000 today). It has very low mileage of around 26, 000 km (16, 700 miles)… roughly 1, 000 km/ year.
Since purchase, it has benefited from meticulous and up-to-date maintenance (recent belt service and fitted PRRT kit), a full stainless exhaust, four Yokohama Ad08R tyres (a very good setup for this car), a 52mm aluminium throttle butterfly, a new intake boot… in short it’s a car that spent more time on my ramp than on the road, because it’s also my pleasure to pamper my toys.
The anti-roll bar has been rebuilt in black epoxy and the original ball joints that connect the bar to the wishbones were replaced with a stainless steel device and dust-sealed joints (the wishbones were already treated in black epoxy).
It has reinforced toe links (a safety when fitting tyres with far more grip than the original tyres, and for a potential track outing, which it never did anyway as it’s too collectible in my eyes).
Aluminium radiator (known weak point on the Elise S1). White indicator reminders (more in keeping with the front end specific to the 111S which has the bubble lights, the long-range in the grille with its motif recalling the old Ferraris, and the amber indicators).
Alcantara steering wheel center. Track-style dash cut from the dashboard (invisible but very accessible; neatly fitted by me without any chassis modification).
Nitron NTR shocks (coilovers, single-way adjustable) with springs tuned to 350/ 450 lb (the originals are too stiff for road use). Front discs on alloy hats, with Pagid RS42 pads (unlike the original setup, braking even on the road offers feel and impressive power in all conditions!). Recent bleed.
The paint is 100% original and presents a very handsome finish. The interior and the chassis also show no scratches inside.
A car for enthusiasts in the know. A collector in this configuration and condition! For sale only to fund a track car project. Don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss if your approach is serious (but plan for a bit of time, I can be gossipy when you get me started on the subject).
