Description
1986 Land Rover Defender 90, 2. 5L Diesel, 5 speed manual, 4x4 finished in Ferrari Amaranto Red Metallic. The car underwent a full nut and bolt restoration back in 2022 and has since covered only 1200 miles. During the restoration a new galvanised Richards chassis was fitted along with galvanised suspension turrets, door cap pins, corners and bumpers. All the brake pipes were replaced with copper ones and stainless steel bolts used throughout. The odometer reads 120k however the car now has a lower mileage, more useable and reliable 300TDI engine and gearbox from a Discovery which has had new pulleys, belts, hoses, timing belt and water pump.
There is stacks of paperwork to accompany the car along with an album of pictures that catalogue the process.
The current MOT shows no advisories and in February 2026 the car will become Tax and MOT exempt. It also benefits from a new leather interior with rear bench seats (6 seat belts), rare wolf sliding windows, Nakatanen grill, Salisbury rear axle, low range gearbox and 5x new Falken Wildpeak tyres.
