This stunning Porsche 914-4 was imported from Beverly Hills, USA, around 30 months ago. When it arrived, it was in need of some serious care and attention — since then, I’ve spent the past 25 months carrying out a comprehensive, top-to-bottom restoration , it’s been a fantastic experience.
Restoration Highlights
• Full back-to-metal respray
• Custom-fabricated body panels where required
• Engine-out rebuild, including:
• 4 new carburettors
• New starter motor, ignition switch and barrel, distributor, alternator, and spark plugs
• All gaskets replaced
• New light switch and multiple sensors
• New valve adjustment bolt, crankshaft pulley and seals
• New timing belts and pulleys
• New pressure relief valve, camshaft bearings, and filters
• Gearbox fully serviced with new components
• Every wire, screw, and fitting replaced — effectively a nut-and-bolt restoration
• Brand-new interior, including carpets and seats
• New brakes front and rear
• New front and rear lights
• New locks and keys
• New battery and cradle
• Original-style vinyl reapplied
Summary
This has been an incredible labour of love, with approximately £16, 000 invested in parts and labour to bring the car to its current condition. No corners were cut during the restoration — every detail was handled with care.
The car is ready to be enjoyed now. Every stage of the rebuild has been photographed and documented, so I can provide full transparency on the work completed.
In my opinion, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a finer 914 in the UK.
