Description
1973 RHD Citroen Ami Super Estate.
A super-rare example of Citroen's ultimate A-series, fitted with the 1015cc air-cooled flat-4 from the GS.
One of only 8 remaining rhd examples.
A testament to the previous owner of 20+ years, this car remains in really lovely condition and, under my tenure, has been gently refurbished and comes with an mot for peace-of-mind 'classic' motoring.
The engine, rebuilt c. 7000 miles ago, is an absolute joy - no more changing-down to go up a hill..!
All the other mechanics are also in fine order and work just as they should.
The chassis is super-sound, as is the general structure of the car, and all panels (other than the bottom of the rear wings) remain straight and rust-free.
The floor, having had some historical repairs, remains sound other than the driver's heel plate which would benefit from some attention at some point in the future.
Suffice to say that there is evidence of waxoil absolutely everywhere - it was my intention to re-do it over winter 'just to make sure!'.
The drive is, as you would expect, really nice - very similar to a standard Ami 8, but just so much easier and more refined.
Only for sale as my wife and I have bought a camper and I really just don't have the space to keep everything.
I really would prefer she go to a Citroen enthusiast, so give me a ring for a chat and to arrange a viewing in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Robert.
