I purchased this E Type in May 2021 as a retirement present to myself after much searching.
I am the fourth owner, the last owner having owned the car for 45 years. The first owners being The Daily Express supplied by HR Owen.
The car has only covered 67, 825 miles, warranted by old mot certificates, having covered 3700 of those miles myself.
It is in truly excellent condition and I have spent a considerable amount of money bringing it up to date.
At approx 64, 000 miles, the following works were carried out by the previous owner ;
Full bare metal re spray using a swatch, to match the original Porsche Tangerine, of which there are only thought to be six E Types in this colour.
New OEM crankshaft and bearings fitted with racing cap studs and nuts to replace the bolts.
Updated oil pump.
Chains, followers and tensioner replaced.
New clutch and flywheel.
XJ6 6. 5 inch rim alloy wire wheels fitted.
Spin on oil filter conversion.
New Spax adjustable shock absorbers.
Single point rear brake bleeders for easy access.
My new upgrades since purchasing the car are as follows;
Exhaust manifolds.
Stainless Stell exhaust system.
Hi Torque Starter
Electronic distributor and Viper Sports Ballast coil
Aluminium radiator with Evan’s waterless coolant and all hoses replaced.
Coopercraft front calliper set with discs and pads incl front wheel bearings.
Front splined hubs x 2.
Rear seatbelts fitted
5 New Avon tyres/ tubes fitted

Front seats re upholstered
Steering wheel (original available)
Engine tuning.
The above, in addition to usual consumables of filters, oil, plugs, rubber seals , bulbs etc has added up to approx £15k of expenditure to deliver this up to date and reliable car in truly excellent condition.
