Honda Legend Coupe, 1995 Burgundy Red M reg MOT to June 2026, 113K Miles. Rare model on UK roads.
Good points engine , gearbox , drives superb and is very reliable.
No warning lights come on at all and the drive is very smooth.
It's a lot of car which and looks very smart and gets a lot of attention and comments. Solid car and well looked after during my ownership. it's always garaged
The car had been dry stored for 11 years by the previous owner and was being sold due to ill health. I have completed many repairs and servicing items .
New cambelt fitted in the past year along with new water pump,(belts and water pump- Continental kit- top quality, bought from RockAuto in the US) ABS unit been rebuilt ( brake fluid get old and gums up motor and abs solenoids, has been completely serviced and is all good) New starter motor, replaced speed sensor. New starter relay. New lambda sensors, new water pump, new alternator. Lots of minor electrical issues dealt with. New front windscreen. Honda service history to 75K miles then last owner kept detailed records of servicing ( he worked for a Honda car dealership) I've done under 1k miles in my ownership
Not so good bits
The silencer out skin is peeling but the inner is fine , so it can be repaired or replaced in due course. I'll be including a spare 'b' exhaust section ( sourced form the US )This makes any repair/ replacement much easier of the silencer , this is the part that goes to the cat and they are very rare. Some areas around the rear drivers' side wing , top of bumper and top section of drivers' door has been resprayed, it's really difficult to get a colour match but I would describe these sections as acceptable and could do with improvement as some point , but from a few feet away, it looks fine. The panels have a small ding on the roof , bonnet and door , the last two are barely perceptible. There some stone chips, nothing major. The driver's seat has had a repair which is good and the rest of the interior is in great shape. The soft door close function on the driver's side does not work but you can just simply close the door. All the other electrical parts are working along with the original stereo. There is a small one inch paint bubbling section at the rear of the passenger wheel arch, a smaller one by the rear windscreen and tiny one on the roof. No rust found on the ends of the sills (where it normally is and none noted on any previous MOT's)
No lacquer peel (these cars often subject to this). Not checked the air con but probably could do with re gassing, I don't use it.
The only reason for sale is I have too many cars and I can't give her the attention it deserves and I jut don't have enough time to enjoy the car as much as I would like to. The car is fairly priced it gets a lot of attention and is a pleasure to drive. Videos of the sides, engine running etc are available. and fine to send more photos, I'm happy to provide a test ride and any inspection is welcome. It's best to message me as I'm a Sparky and can't always respond to calls at work. car is located in Westfield, a few miles outside Hastings. I work 5-6 days a week and don't have much time to enjoy the car. In a nutshell the car was stored for years, I've spent a mountain of time, effort, care and attention on getting the mechanical parts sorted. The paint issues could do with improvement in some areas but for me, the important stuff has been dealt with and it's very presentable. This is the last of 5 Legends own and have sold the other 4 in the past 18 months. In not interested in offers as I have a decent knowledge of the value of these cars and I am fine with just keeping it , having spent so much time and money on her.
