Restored at great expense a few years ago, its bodywork was stripped to bare metal and all rusted components were replaced to the current owner's requirements, all body seals and chrome were replaced or refurbished; the same applies to the interior with a Powder Blue / Gold Brocade Grey upholstery faithful to the original and its original Les Leston steering wheel in perfect condition.
Mechanically, the engine has been thoroughly overhauled, the cylinder head was machined, and fitted with large valves, the water pump, fuel pump and clutch were replaced; the brakes are completely new as are the Yokohama Advan HF Type D tyres. First registered in October 1966, our example is a rare MK1 produced from 1964 to 1967 in only 7, 824 units; superb in Surf Blue (BU35) with its Old English White (WT3) roof, it was kept until then in one of Belgium's finest collections.
It was registered in France after its acquisition at a auction in October 2024.
