Sadly the time has come for the Passat and me to go our separate ways.
The car is a 1994 1. 8CL Estate, petrol, manual gearbox and, at time of advertising, 126, 845 miles. I have owned the car since 1996. Two previous owners. There are a few niggles now as you might expect with a car of that age. For example, the central locking does not work, probably its motor needs replacing but not got round to that yet and the electric windows can be temperamental. Water can seep into drivers footwell. Coolant light can start flashing during damp weather, I have replaced the inlet manifold thermo switch and the expansion tank but not solved it yet. I resprayed the car myself this year, so some panels are good, others could do with a little more work on them.
MoT’ed until March 2nd 2026. The front headlights have been replaced with brand new ones found on ebay last year! Haynes manual included.
