Description
This Rover 214 is completely standard apart from a genuine Rover chrome grille fitted by a previous owner. Features include: electric front windows, manual tilt/ slide sunroof, power steering. The interior is in excellent condition for it's age, body and paintwork are very good with a few minor age-related blemishes. I am an active member of the Rover 200 and 400 Owners Club, as was the previous owner and this 214 has been displayed at several club events, including the Practical Classics Restoration Show at the NEC, where routine servicing was carried out. Overall this 214 makes an excellent entry into classic vehicle ownership, being old enough to qualify for low cost classic car insurance and having an excellent backup from the owners club and several specialists who can supply parts quickly from stock when needed. I have owned this 214 for three years and covered around 10, 000 miles. The recorded mileage of 61, 300 is verified by service stamps in the original service record book plus online MoT records. The timing belt, water pump and auxiliary belts were all changed 3 years/ 10, 000 miles ago. A new clutch was fitted 2 years/ 6, 000 miles ago and a new alternator was fitted last year.
