1600 Xflow engine rebuilt by Jeff Harris at HPE (Harris Performance Engines) bored out to 1700cc and built to their fast road specification, Kent 234 camshaft, 1300 pistons.
Set up on their in house engine rig before it went in the car and then I’ve had it rolling roaded twice since (Sanspeed and BD Engineering)

Engine has covered less then 3k miles
Shell has covered approx 53k miles (came over to the UK on 79, 000 km but I’ve since changed the clocks as mentioned above)
I change the engine oil every 500 miles and use Valvoline 20w50 oil
It’s also recently had new plugs, alternator belt, gearbox oil and the rear diff oil within the last year. The engine oil was changed again 3 miles ago.
I also check the valve clearances each time I do the oil and change the cometic rocker cover gasket each time.
Edelbrock fuel pump mounted in the boot
New brake pipes
The whole car has also been rewired and the fuse box has been moved into the glovebox area and there is a fuel cut off switch and switch for the electric fan wired in. Engine bay has also been wire tucked.
This car is very clean and looks amazing, it took a lot of time to build and it took a look of thinking about how I wanted things. It wasn’t just cobbled together over a weekend.
I have driven it to many Classic Car shows and meets around the South East and it always gets positive feedback.
It has only been run on Shell V Power or Tesco 99 Momentum fuel throughout my ownership.
It’s always been garaged.
There’s probably bits I’ve missed and I’ll be sad to see it go as it makes a cracking noise, the sound from the twin 40 carbs is unreal!
I am asking 26k
Please to do not hesitate to ask any questions, no Timewasters.
I have a walk around video and also a rolling road video that can be sent over. I don’t have any History for the car when it was in South Africa, although I do have the original SA number plates which are a nice touch.
I have invoices for all the work I have had carried out, from HPE, Kejja Motorsport, Mot Certs etc.
