First registered in December 1976 and purchased by the second keeper in February 1980 and he has owned it ever since. Fitted with a 3500S V8 engine circa 1982 due to the original Triumph engine having overheating issues. An engineers report is amongst the paperwork which also includes over thirty comprehensive invoices showing thousands of pounds spent including a body restoration. This Stag comes with both hood and hardtop, both of which are in good order and a hardtop stand. The underside and chassis components are all solid, the body is good, having a couple of small areas that could be tidied should the new owner desire. Fuel is delivered via a down draught Webber fitted to a Edelbrock inlet manifold, there is also an electric cooling fan. Being sold as the registered keeper has become very frail and is no longer driving it. A period eight track is still in place in the centre console.
