1983 Austin Mini 1000

Very reluctant sale of my 1983 998cc Mini Mayfair. I have owned since 2009 and have spent many pounds over the years. This was my wedding car and has created many happy memories. I will be very sad to see it go, but I just havent got the time to enjoy this fun little car as much as it deserves.

It was previously off the road for around 9 years but was kept ticking over and pulled out of the garage to avoid flat spots. The car underwent a small refurb in Oct 2025 by a local classic car specialist to get it roadworthy and through an MOT. Work included - new exhaust, new ignition system, new starter motor, new rear brakes, tune up and underside wire brushed and re sealed. Passed MOT in Nov 2025 with no advisories. Starts on the button and runs beautifully. This was a very difficult decision to sell this lovely mini but with children and another potential project on the horizon I cannot justify keeping it. The car deserves a new loving home where the new owner will have the time it deserves to keep this fun little classic on the road. Lots of work has been done over the years as listed in the description and has been garaged and maintained by a local mini specialist all the time I have owned this car. It has only been used for weekend drives in spring and summer and not taken out on salted roads.
