For Sale 1953 Allard Palm Beach, no. 7 of around 80 made. This is an early 1950s sports car made by Allard in south London, and originally fitted with a Zephyr Zodiac 2. 3l straight six engine. Car has some racing history in the early 1950s, still has its original registration number and has been in the same family since 1972. It is currently dismantled, there are likely many parts missing, but the body and chassis are all there, and it has a dismantled Zephyr Zodiac engine and a Raymond Mays aquaplane head and carb set. It’s not for the faint-hearted and I can see it going back on the road with a bit of resto-modding. It’s an ideal opportunity to have a pretty rare 1950s sports car with modern-ish running gear. There is an old style V5 for the car.
It is in a garage behind a house and is sold in as an is where is condition. You may need a crane to get it over the house, or you can negotiate with the school behind to take it out via their grounds. There are many boxes of spares/ parts for the car. I’m happy to answer questions but I am around 180 miles from the car and viewing will need to be arranged. Accept that is is a body with chassis and that you could do an interesting resto-mod with a Jaguar straight six or a Rover V8 as I’d say a nuts and bolts restoration to concours condition would be more than the car’s completed value. It is, however, a cheap way into a rather exclusive club. Car located in Stirling, central Scotland. It's been in my family since 1973, bought out of a scrapyard in Alloa for £50. Has been dismantled and now needs someone to love it and restore it.
