Description
The major work was a complete engine rebuild following a slapping piston damaging the engine block in 2005. The work was undertaken by Lagonda expert David Wall of Norfolk, UK and completed in 2012.
The wooden frame, both sides renewed and repaired (see photos) this work to date is now completed. New carpets are being fitted. 1st Owner: Mr H. J. H. Scott, Craigmore, Broughty Ferry, director of James Scott & Sons, Dundee, Jute Manufacturers
Understood to be the second V12 production car starting life as a DHC. The current saloon body being fitted by Lagonda at Staines in 1939 after an accident.
November 1949 last time serviced by Lagonda and then probably exported.
Imported into Switzerland 4th July 1971 from France.
Sold in 1999 at a Christies Auction in Switzerland and brought back to England for restoration.
