Description
1956 Opel Kapitan 2. 5 Left hand drive originally registered in Germany by an RAF military person and brought to the UK in 1960. The car has been used until 1967/ 68 according to the road tax discs I have found. The car was then placed in a house garage where it was left until 2008 when it was sold to the previous owner. I bough the car in 2014 and embarked on the long process of restoration. The car has been kept as original as possible with many enhancements for regular use. The engine has been converted to unleaded fuel and the fuel sustem has been mediculously restored. It is fitted with an overhauled gearbox from a 1957 model for smother gear changes. The original gearbox along with many other spare parts is available. All coolant hoses/ pump are new. The car has a new interiorI bought the car because my dad had one when I was a little boy and we had one in the family for years. It is very reliable and very unique
