Renault 5 GTL
1108cc 5 speed petrol. Pressumed original mileage 23, 835.
Last tax disc on windscreen 1998.
Been of the road since in a barn.
Owned since 2018 with plans to get it running and back on the road.
Was going to be scraped happend to be working at the address at the time and asked the daughter of the deceased owner what's the story with car as you don't see many any more.
Long story ended up saving it from the scrap.
Unfortunately the daughter had no paperwork or keys for this wich was a pain as the steering was locked so had to drill the lock.
It's in very original condition and really solid with only surface rust really.
One repair at the bottom of the windscreen.
And a dent on passenger rear door lady remembers a fork lift hitting it.
Had plans to get this going but after nearly 9 years in my garage and other projects decided to let it go as it deserves a chance again.
The only work I've carried out is to replace the key and barrel.
Changed the oil and filter.
And found some spare wheels as one was really rotten and holding no air.
And disconnected all the breaks to get it moving as these were seized solid.
Have v5 in my name now showing 2 previous owners pressumed the first being the garage as lady remembers deceased father having from new.
Have had engine turning over by hand
So not seized don't think it would take much to get it going carb looks clean fuel tank looks clean. Mechanical fuel pump so should be OK.
Would need trailer to collect.
