Description

TVR 350i Series 2 (with V8 Developments engine fitted) in metallic "blue mist".

Built October 1986.

First registered 1st August 1987.

MoT until February 2027 with no advisories.

Buying the car 3 years ago, I am the 8th owner - and one of those had bought the car back, after selling it (as they missed it so much I was told).

There is an extensive history file with the car comprising :
1. The original service book showing full TVR/ performance specialist service record from new up to March 1994 (the 10 services up to and including the 54, 000 mile service (when the book runs out) - by which time the car had covered 35, 800 miles).
2. A lever arch file of individual invoices for works, servicing etc from September 1987 up to the current date. The car seems to have been well looked after, owners using TVR or performance specialist garages.
3. MoT history from July 1990 up to the current date
4. Old road tax discs
5. Information/ interesting articles I have found during my period of ownership to help with maintenance

One owner produced a comprehensive (5 page) maintenance log for works carried out during their ownership for the period March 1995 - November 2010 (example page shown in photos).

TVR car club records show the build date as 18th October 1986 - so it will be eligible for historic status, and therefore zero road tax, from 1st April 2027 according to my interpretation of the rules.

The V8 developments engine was fitted around July 2010 since which the car has covered just over 26, 000 miles.

New hood fitted April 2018 (I have cleaned, dyed and re-waterproofed in my ownership) and still in great condition with no rips or tears.
History file refers to spax adjustable shock absorbers fitted to front May 2018
Chassis outriggers done September 2018.
Rear brake calipers refurbished February 2024.
Replacement rear uprights fitted February 2024.
Wheels refurbished July 2024.
Leather seats refurbished, dyed and nourished 2025.

The history file shows 4 pot front brake calipers fitted October 1999, ventilated front brake discs fitted April 2002 and twin cooling fans were fitted when the engine was upgraded (2010).

Whilst in my ownership it has been looked after and serviced by a local TVR specialist.

The car also comes with
* 2 sets of keys
* 4 layer outdoor car cover (cost £190 - hardly used)
* Some spares/ partsIt is a car I'm proud of, stands out in a crowd - not only for its colour but also the sound from the engine - and gets admiring glances and compliments when it is out and about.

The engine is an upgraded V8 Developments 4. 6 stage 3 engine (fitted July 2010), including cam and clutch (full details in the history file that comes with the car) along with other upgrades/ improvements - all at a cost of just over £10, 000.

Records show the engine had 271 BHP and 301lbft.

The chassis condition was reported as good and solid when I bought the car.

The electrics all seem fine - the only thing that doesn't seem to work are the courtesy lights behind the seats.

The car had 3 replacement speedos fitted early in its life (and paperwork comes with the car confirming the situation).

I have produced a graph to show mileage history of the car at recorded milestones (see photos) which allows for the speedo replacements.

It has the benefit of the power steering (fitted 2003 according to the history file), and a previous owner fitted rear parking sensors to the car.

It also has a Clifford alarm/ immobiliser fitted.

The number plate is the original, but is non-transferable (the original plate being put back on the car around 2011 after a period of being on a private plate).

The car isn’t perfect - but very very presentable. Chips on paintwork have been touched up. There is a star craze on the bonnet (about 8-10cm in diameter) - it is not overly noticeable but photos try to capture it.
There is also some fibre glass resin on the rear bumper (photos seek to capture) - a result of some spillage when I replaced one of the bumper brackets and didn't notice it at the time.
