1966 Series 1 E-Type Jaguar 2+2
In left hand drive as imported from Dry state USA and in automatic form produced primarily for the American market. As stated, this is a dry state car and is remarkably rust-free and has never been welded.
In my ownership three years and subject to much work and improvement but sadly, I am unable to drive it so it has to go. In its original colour of Willow Green, with a suede green leather interior. The paint has been refinished at sometime in its life
In my ownership I have renewed/ replaced the following:
5x new painted wire wheels.
5x new Dunlop SP Tyres.
Front seats and centre console re-upholstered in suede green leather.
New S. U Fuel pump.
Uprated alloy radiator and fans.
Triple S. U carbs overhauled.
All front suspension bushes renewed.
Starter motor professionally rebuilt.
Front matwell carpet renewed.
Recent fluid service.
New battery.
Runs and drives with 60lb oil pressure.
Supplied with the car are new front discs and front caliper overhaul kit. Also, a new (£300) drivers door hinge as this has worn over the years.
The price is now much reduced to £36, 500 - surely the best value series 1 out there.
