Description
In ALPINA's over 50-year history, the company has repeatedly presented innovative technologies. Company founder Burkard Bovensiepen's idea of allowing the driver to manually shift gears in an automatic transmission using buttons on the steering wheel proved groundbreaking. Inspired by solutions used in Formula 1, the name "SWITCH-TRONIC" was registered with the Trademark and Patent Office in January 1992. This is now the de facto standard for automatic transmissions. ALPINA was the first manufacturer in the world to offer this feature as standard in the B3 3. 0/ 1 equipped with the ZF 5HP18 gearbox. Porsche did not introduce the Tiptronic S until 1994. This model was based on the E36 325i delivered new. The changes introduced by Alpina included, among others: - 3. 0 engine block - crankshaft system - engine head with camshafts - engine control unit - complete exhaust system - oil filter housing with additional oil pressure and temperature sensors - gearbox control unit - shock absorbers with springs - steering wheel - 25% differential lock - set of wheels - front 8x17, rear 9x17 with Michelin MXX3 tires - front bumper lip and trunk spoiler - set of decorative stickers with emblems - upholstery, floor mats - set of additional gauges with temperature and oil pressure indications made by VDO.
The offered model was imported from Japan. It is in perfect technical and visual condition. It has been serviced, including an engine and gearbox oil change, a complete filter set, and spark plugs.
