1970 E type series 2 fhc, rhd matching numbers vehicle with Heritage certificate. Bought privately in 2014 with 3 previous owners.
Total sympathetic restoration completed April 2019 - opalescent gunmetal grey with red upholstery. A full nut and bolt restoration keeping as much of the car original as practical. Car stripped down to tub and sand blasted. New panels to floors, sills, rear quarters, front underside of bonnet, new doors, new fuel tank, panels blended using original leading technique. Engine, gearbox and rear differential and IRS reconditioned.
New wiring loom, new windscreen motor, 123 Electronic ignition, air conditioning (Clayton engineering), halogen headlights. Original radio and console included in sale. Extensive thermal and acoustic insulation including the doors. Replacement glass in doors, windscreen and rear window. Rear and front suspension rebuilt with new bushes and dampers. Chrome re-plated or replaced where necessary. New wire wheels and tyres. Interior totally re-upholstered BAS leather etc. Stainless steel exhaust. MOT until March 2027
Mileage at end of restoration 94, 467. Little use since restoration, always in the dry, mileage now 99, 388.
