Rare and desirable B110 1975 Datsun 1200GX coupe.
Fantastic original unmolested survivor classic having seen the benefit of always residing in the dry hot inland climate of Gauteng, South Africa. Just one lady owner from new who bought it new and apparently only ever drove it to work and occasionally to the shops which accounts for the low mileage of just 67, 000 miles from new (107, 000km).
This car appears never to have been welded and is rust free comprising original factory steel and paintwork, all factory spot welds present in the arches, no filler anywhere, a couple of very minor dents/ imperfections as to be expected on an original 50 year old car (shown in photos) which just add to the patina and originality which can't be replicated. The period turquoise blue colour really suits the shape and lines of the car.
Mechanically the car has recently been serviced and it runs like a dream with a whisper quiet smooth engine which pulls well through the rev range being the GX sports model with twin carbs (also balanced and tuned). New tyres all round sitting on original rims. All controls are light and smooth making for a really pleasant drive.
I imported this car a couple of years ago added to my small collection of Datsun/ Nissan cars but now need to reduce the number of cars to a sensible level hence the sale.
A different and very useable classic that attracts admiration at any general classic or specialist Japanese meet.
