Description
This 1973 Datsun 240z is originally a Californian car. It has had two owners since being in the UK, this includes the current owner. The car had a full restoration as well as an engine rebuild, this was done by the first UK owner whom is a member of the well followed Z club. The current owner has brought the car to us here at Fourways during their ownership. It has had multiple works done here completed by us, we know the car well.
The current owner has used this car to attend multiple car shows over the years, it has also won awards.
During the full restoration the car was painted in 918 Orange. This 240z has an extensive parts list so we will include this below. This has been passed onto us by the current owner.
Engine: Stock L24 (bored . 20)
Brand new HS6 carb conversion (Done March 2023)
Mishimoto radiator hoses paired with reconditioned OEM radiator
Completely reconditioned fuel tank and sender units
New ignition coil and condenser along with recent plug and HT lead change
New earth, positive and negative battery connectors
True cable throttle conversion
Various new braided/ rubber hoses
Exhaust: Zstory manifold / Zstory twin-stack JDM style exhaust
Gearbox: S14a 5-speed gearbox with converted stock bellhousing
Rear axle: R180 Subaru LSD 3. 9 with stock half shafts and john williams adapters
Suspension: KYB shocks and Tokico lowering springs
Brakes: Drilled and grooved rotors with Hawk racing pads and braided brake lines
R32 GTR Sumitomo Alu-4 pot calipers rebuilt and finished in orange
Wheels: XXR 513 16” x 8J 0 offset
Wiring: MSA upgraded fusebox / Honda wiper motor upgrade
Exterior: OEM 510 wing/ fender mirrors / louvered inspection flaps / clear rear side markers / LED bulb conversion in front side markers, rears and numberplate
Clocks: stock except Spiyda tacho conversion / centre pods repainted in orange with LEDS, clock hands also orange / dash clock fully working
Interior: Custom rear strut
Cobra classic RS seats with custom orange stitching and no headrests
Billet aluminium ash tray handle / turn signal knob / logo vent knob / hood release knob
New dash vents including centre vent
Custom aluminium door lock pins and custom s30 cup holder
Complete replacement of interior trim panels, rear deck, rear quarters and overhead
LED replacements for centre dash light, dash trim, centre pods
New fuse box cover plate
