Bought 1996 after a restoration, used rarely. Last MOT was June 2011, 93300 miles. (MOT exempt as a historic vehicle, but good idea to get one!) Current mileage 93331. Original apart from electronic ignition. 12V system. Slight oil drip from primary chaincase, normal for British bikes. In garage for last 30 years. Petrol tank fine, but petrol is stale, so used temporary petrol bottle for starting it. Battery needs replacing but kick started fine with fresh petrol and a borrowed a 12V battery (needs new battery VTX7L or similar, 12V, 6Ah). Video of bike starting and running is available. We bought it for local trips at the weekend. Nice classic gets waves from old chaps and plastic rockets. 600 single with kick start, good for gentle rides.
