Description
1961 Morris Minor 4 Door. Yukon Grey. 72427 miles (believed correct from history)
MOT till Oct 26 with no advisories.
Comprehensive and very complete two folder history with records of service history starting with the first owner (Miss Graham) in 1961 (existing plastic folder with garage service history to 1964), through to a personal letter of a handover from her to a friend 31 years later, then through 2 owners, with a sale through East Sussex Morris Minors and a further 2 owners. All of which spent a lot of time and money on care and maintenance. I acquired the car as a limited winter project last year from a retired Engineer who, due to unforeseen health issues was unable to complete his project work during his 6 years ownership. I have had a Traveller in the past but am moving on to a Convertible.
The car has had minimal welding with components replaced new as necessary:
Engine rebuilt with new pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, clutch etc etc.
Gearbox reconditioned at Bexhill Gearboxes.
Duplex chain.
Brake master cylinder
SU Petrol pump
Radiator
Battery
Unleaded head (current compressions 149, 150, 150, 149)
All dampers (ESM exchange)
All new suspension bushes, rear springs, track rod ends etc etc.
Modified (22G118X) gearbox cover
New full harness
Fuel tank
Powder coated wheels plus tyres
New door cards fitted and good front seats. Original carpets and rear seat retained.
Orange indicators fitted discretely under the bumpers with a switch on the dash. The original indicators are isolated. The Police advise that the flashing red brake light indicators can be confusing and are not considered safe.
Lovely little Moggie that is absolutely immaculate including the underside. Zero rust. The paint is overall excellent with just a few blemishes (previous owner slipped with a roof rack!) just some final work left in the interior depending how original you wish to keep it. Requires a headlining.
Too many receipts to mention, a total of £6k in just the last 3 years.
£6, 600 ovno.
