Ford Escort Xr3i 90 spec modelMercury grey5 previous ownersVery original car. It still has the original front wings, front panel, doors and rear panel. One owner had the vehicle for 20 years and I have owned it for nearly 10 years. In my ownership I have spent a lot of money and time getting it to how it looks today. It has had new inner and outer sills, new rear arches, both sides and both bumpers have been resprayed to a great standard. 2 years ago it had all new suspension on the front and was pollybushed at the same time. It has the original lattice (baby cosworth) wheels that only came on the 90 spec model. These were professionally stripped and repainted several years ago and still look like new. It is not an immaculate car, it has had welding done in the past and it is now a solid car requiring no further welding. It had an advisory free MOT which is valid till September 26. I am open to re- mot prior to sale. I would describe it as very good condition that you can use and enjoy as it is. If you wanted to take it to the next stage, it would not require much more work. The roof has some small signs of rust around the sunroof, it has been this way since I have owned it and has never got worse. This is something that I have never got round to doing but would finish the car off if you had the roof painted. The only modifications this car has had is a stainless steel exhaust, a K&N air filter which is in the original airbox, drilled and grooved front discs with greenstuff pads. The car looks exactly as it was when it left the Ford factory. Starts and runs great. I feel I have priced this reasonablyfor the condition of the car. Sorry no swaps as I have another project I am now working on. Car is showing 49000 but I do think it's likely it has been round the clock. I have always serviced it in my ownership but there is little history before this.
