Description
This very attractive MGB GT was first registered in April 1972, so is 54 years old. The MGB is teal blue with autumn leaf interior and has the recessed front grill which is correct for the year and becoming quite rare. I am only the third owner and the car has covered just 78, 592 miles backed up by the MOT history. I bought the car in March this year with the intention of long term ownership but changing plans mean the MG must be reluctantly sold. Invoices in the history file of the car show it was the subject of major restoration work in 2018 by well respected MGB specialists HCR in East Sussex. Since the work was completed, the MG was kept in a dry garage and used very little. Key points to note:Overdrive on 3rd and 4th gearsLead free cylinder headGood oil pressureElectronic ignition and 12v battery conversionFull length sliding sun roofStainless steel exhaustBody cavity wax injection and under body anti rust treatmentNew brake pipes, master cylinder and servoNew clutch & flywheel skim, new clutch master & slave cylindersGood tyres There are a few age related spots on the bodywork that could be repaired but they don't really detract from the overall great appearance of the car - see pictures. The autumn leaf interior is clean and tidy. Underneath is very solid and there is no rust due to the treatment carried out during the restoration work. The MG looks great and turns heads wherever you go. Today the car is fun to drive, is reliable and would make an excellent daily driver.
