Description
Triumph TRW 1952 500cc sidevalve Military model. Totally restored over a three year period. This is an unusual Royal Navy model, hence the Navy blue. Re-patriated from Singapore after being bought from a military auction in the early 1970's. UK registered with V5 logbook and other paperwork including handbooks etc. Engine was already re-built when I obtained the bike a few years ago, having a rebore, re-built crank, new bearings, valves, springs, guides, camshaft and followers etc. It has had a total gearbox overhaul, new clutch, stainless rims and spokes, new tyres, forks all re-built, in fact new or re-built everything, including Electronic ignition. Fortune spent on this unusual motorcycle, many receipts for parts purchased. Runs really well on re-built original Zenith carburettor. Early model with BTH magneto, not coil ignition. It has an NOS BTH alternator which I have not managed to get working, I am no wiring expert. It runs well on a small lithium battery so if you go on a long run, just take a spare battery. Other than that everything else works. Bike is absolutely museum condition, hand painted gold leaf pinstriping on the tank even. genuine original type soft panniers fitted. Only done a few miles since finished. A sensible offer near to the asking price would be considered. If you would like to view, I am based in East Kent UK. Please no more time wasters. The last buyer paid a deposit then tried to chip me £1000 on the price so I returned his deposit. Military modelRoyal NavyUsed in SingaporeTotally restored
