Originally supplied by Eddy Grimstead of London but never registered, this exceptional Yamaha YDS7 shows just 79 miles from new and still wears its original factory-fitted Yokohama tyres. Discovered by the previous owner during a house clearance after lying untouched for decades, the machine is an extraordinarily original survivor, retaining the vast majority of its factory-fitted components. Remarkably, the original Yokohama tyres still hold air. Although there is no documentary evidence to verify the mileage, the vendor is confident it is genuine, and the machine's condition strongly supports this belief. Close inspection reveals minimal wear throughout, consistent with an exceptionally low-mileage motorcycle. Following its long period in storage, the YDS7 remains an honest, unrestored example. It has has recently been started after fitting a new battery, spark plugs, plug caps and ignition coils (with the original coils retained), together with a carburettor clean. Nevertheless, as with any motorcycle that has been stored for many years, a thorough recommissioning should be carried out before regular road use. Built to UK specification, the motorcycle was originally supplied by Eddy Grimstead of London but was never registered with the DVLA. After remaining hidden away for more than half a century, the finder submitted a NOVA declaration to HMRC to record its existence. The machine is offered with an Aircooled RD Owners Club dating certificate, a NOVA reference, and the supporting documentation required to facilitate registration with the DVLA on an age-related registration number.
