Description
This is a later Mark 4 bodyshell with a longer wheelbase although it has retained the registration number (not the one shown) from a 1962 Mini Seven donor car.
The shell was completely stripped out and fitted with a bespoke rollcage, trying to pick up the strongest mountings without using the suspension mounts, which is forbidden by the FIA and other series.
It has a new heated front screen and perspex rear, together with the original perspex side windows. The sunroof has been replaced with an aluminium panel.
It has a front mounted ali radiator with electric fan and header tank.
The front subframe has been rebuilt with Hi-Los, new rose jointed bottom arms, adjustable tie bars and damper mounts.
It is currently fitted with the original rear subframe (with Hi-Los) and fuel tank but will come with a new rear beam and adjustable camber brackets.
Currently fitted with standard S brakes and 10 x 6" MiniLights as I was undecided on brake and wheel sizes.
Also available a set of 10 x 4. 75" Rose Petal alloys with Avon CR6ZZ tyres and all nuts and spacers; a set of 12" Minilite copies plus a set of 13" Minilite copies.
Originally this was a Morspeed 1293cc race engine. Now re-engineered with the help of a current Red Ball F1 engine builder to the following specification:
11 stud A series block with centre main cap and bored to 1380cc
New standard size crank line bored to block
MED steel flywheel and backplate
New MED crank pulley
Innocenti rods
New Omega forged pistons with 7cc dish
648 camshaft, checked for accuracy
New steel timing gears
Forged s rockers
Howley race head with 37/ 31mm valves
13. 3 to 1 static compression ratio
Modified 45DCOE Weber on alloy manifold with new throttle linkage to fit under bonnet
Maniflow LCB exhaust manifold to suit Weber with single box system
Orange clutch diaphragm with Turbo plate.
S/ c drop gears
S/ c c/ r remote change gearbox completely rebuilt by specialist with TranX LSD and s/ c 3. 9 cwp and Hardy Sicer driveshaft couplings.
The engine starts and runs; the clutch and gearbox all function.
It will need some tuning and a session on a rolling road but should produce in excess of 120bhp.

Engine £4000
Gearbox and remote £2000
