Fully restored 1984 Kadett D GTE.
The restoration was completed in June 2025, all work including a full respray has been carried out by a professional bodyshop. All major mechanical work and servicing has been done to ensure it runs and drives as it should for years to come, more details below. The car has only been driven around 50km since work was completed so it is still in new condition.
The restoration is to original factory spec and has not been modified, all original parts where possible have been restored and reused.
The car is in fully working condition and registered on the road.

Short list of work carried out.
Body: Full respray inside. Welding carried out on rear arches and sills using NOS panels. Fully undersealed and cavities waxed. Bumpers restored and sprayed.
New rear light clusters and front indicators.
Interior: Very good original condition. No real work carried out apart from fixing some wiring issues and a new ignition lock.
6x9 speakers fitted in the rear but comes with another untouched parcel shelf.
Engine:95600km: All belts and pumps replaced. New Fuel lines and vacuum hoses. New fuel regulator. Compression checked. New coolant sensors and fan switch. Oil and filters changed. New oil sump. New distributor, cap, leads and spark plugs. Original exhaust manifold and centre section. NOS rear silencer.
Suspension: All new Bilstein dampers, Original springs refurbished. New ball joints and rubber bushings. New control arms. New trackrod ends. Original suspension legs, carriers and rear axel painted. Wheels have been refurbished and painted in the original silver. No buckles or damage to any wheels
Brakes: New discs and pads. Front calipers refurbished and painted. Original brake lines with New flexi pipes. Rear drums adjusted and painted. Whole system flushed with new brake fluid.
Fuel system: New fuel pump. New filter. New pressure regulator. New hoses. Fuel pump carrier refurbished with new bushings and painted. This car is a great original and un molested example of an 80s classic. The GTE runs and handles excellent and gets alot of attention wherever it goes.
