Not restored, but simply cherished and maintained with love over half a century. The paint is still original, as is everything else on the bike, as no cheap reproduction parts have been fitted or 'creative updates' carried out, and the tyres are new. For this reason, the Yamaha has passed its classic vehicle inspection with flying colours for the next six years. There's nothing to do either technically or cosmetically – just collect it, hop on, switch on the ignition, turn on the fuel tap, pull the choke, give the kickstarter a boot and the fun can begin.
