I am selling my Lovely 1969 Volvo 1800s B20 engine, with twin SU's. The sale is only because I have the opportunity to buy another classic car , so I'm selling both of mine to fund it.
My 1800s was restored professionally around 10 years ago, bare metal and full engine rebuild. I have photo's of the restoration.
The car has been upgraded with a power steering unit which is amazing, and was an expensive upgrade, but it is now so easy to drive and park compared to the heavy original steering. It's also had a 15" original style steering wheel fitted, which cost £650. This is 1" smaller than the original and makes getting in and out easier.
The interior has been re-trimmed in black leather and with new carpets.
It has a retro period style DAB, FM, Bluetooth radio fitted , with an electric aerial.
The carbs were professionally balanced and tuned 6 months ago, and it runs lovely. Recently, we have been on some long trips away in her, and it performed brilliantly. The only thing to note was the front brakes where juddering. So on closer inspection it was the discs that needed replacing. The Volvo now has two new front discs and Mintex racing pads fitted and stops as it should. It's also had two new front track rod ends fitted.
The car has has no rust, and the restoration is holding up very well. The coupe always gets loads of attention and lovely comments.
