Description
Rover 2600 – 1980 – Classic car – 46 years of family history
An original Rover 2600 with exceptionally comprehensive vehicle documentation and a complete family history.
My very well-maintained 1980 Rover 2600 is now for sale as a classic car.
The Rover was bought new by my grandfather in 1980 and passed on to me in 2018. This means the car has been in our family continuously since it was first registered.
A very special vehicle history
The history of this Rover 2600 is exceptionally well documented for a vehicle over 40 years old.
The vehicle comes with, amongst other things:
* Original purchase documents from when it was bought new
* Original Rover brochures and vehicle documents
* Original maintenance and documentation records
* Numerous invoices and receipts
* A handwritten logbook detailing journeys and maintenance, kept over many years
* Mileage readings, refuelling, servicing, repairs and trips documented therein
* Evidence of the replacement engine fitted at approximately 10, 000 km
The current engine has covered around 90, 000 km; the vehicle has covered a total of around 100, 000 km.

Condition
The original dark red paintwork looks very smart. Particularly for its age, the interior is also in a very well-maintained and original condition.
The characteristic seats, door panels and dashboard are beautifully preserved. The car’s original character has also been largely retained.
What makes this Rover special
This car is not just a beautiful old Rover.
It is the combination of:
46 years of family history + classic car status + original condition + extensive documentation + traceable maintenance history.
Below the pictures you can see a small selection of the documentation
The buyer will not only receive the vehicle, but also a large part of its personal history.
