Of the coveted Speed-14 models, only around 380 vehicles were built between 1934 and 1936 – making a preserved example correspondingly rare today.

Powered by a refined inline-6 engine of 1577 cc, delivering 54 bhp at 4, 800 rpm.
In combination with the four-speed manual and a selectable freewheel, the Rover offers a remarkably pleasant and confident driving experience for its era.
The Rover models of this era were considered technically extremely advanced. For instance, the Speed 14 came from the factory with sophisticated features such as a central lubricating system for the suspension, an auto start, and an electric oil level indicator – amenities far ahead of their time.
The hydraulically operated drum brakes also underscore the high technical standard of this vehicle.
In recent years, extensive work and revisions were carried out:

• Overhaul of the cylinder head
• Overhaul of the carburettor
• Overhaul of the distributor
• Adjusting the cam timing
• Various electrical works including fitting indicators
• Conversion of headlights to Swiss regulations (originals available)
• Wheel nuts re-chromed
• Reconstruction of the A-pillar on the driver's side
• Fuel tank completely rebuilt
• Central lubrication system restored
Technically the car is in very good condition. The body has paint defects in several places. There is also a collision damage to the rear.
