2005 Rover 75 1. 8 – 5 Speed Manual – 76k Miles – Exceptional Condition & High Specification
A genuinely lovely 2005 Rover 75 1. 8 petrol, 5-speed manual, showing just over 76, 000 miles and in exceptionally clean condition for its age.
This is one of those cars where the photographs really do most of the talking. Both the bodywork and interior have clearly been looked after, and it has that wonderful traditional Rover feel that made the 75 such a distinctive car — plenty of wood, leather and chrome rather than the rather bland interiors found in many modern cars.
The interior is particularly nice. The combination of the full leather seats with contrasting piping, Alcantara-trimmed door cards and extensive wood trim gives it a genuinely special feel inside, and everything has survived remarkably well.
It is also a very high-specification example, including:
Full leather interior with contrasting piping
Electric, heated and memory seats
Alcantara trim to the door cards
Ice-cold air conditioning
Electric windows and mirrors
Xenon headlights
Parking sensors
Extensive wood interior trim
Plus plenty of the usual Rover 75 refinements
Mechanically, the car drives extremely well. The engine feels healthy, the gearbox changes smoothly and the clutch feels strong, with no unwanted noises, warning lights or little electrical gremlins to spoil it.
It comes with an excellent history file including full service history, old receipts, original booklets, V5C and even the Haynes workshop manual, along with one key and remote.
MOT until February 2027.
What I particularly like about this car is that it hasn't been tarted up or made to look like something it isn't. It's simply a very clean, well-preserved Rover 75 with sensible mileage and a great specification.
These are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this sort of condition. The Rover 75 has also reached that nice point where it feels much more like a modern classic than simply an older used car — and good, original examples are the ones worth finding.
If you're looking for a cheap, comfortable and slightly different everyday car, or simply fancy owning a really clean example of one of the last proper Rovers, this one is well worth seeing.
First serious person to view and drive it will understand just how nice it is.
