Lively car with powerful engine and very light weight. Close ratio straight cut gears.
Tuned 1100cc engine with hot camshaft and x2 1. 5 inch SU carbs.
Very special Cooper Car Co Formula Junior cylinder head (largest possible valves with relieved bores, no thermostat space). Very rare, bought directly from John Cooper in period.
Drum brakes all round, single master cylinder. Suspension lowered by shortening spring cones all round.
Rally sump guard. Brake / fuel pipes run inside car.
High capacity 9 gallon fuel tank.
Wood dash with rev counter, ammeter, temp and oil pressure guages.
Battery master switch in boot, new battery. 5 alloy wheels. Tyres original and perished. Fibreglass flip front, removable for easy engine access.
Tailor made removable hood.
One owner since 1974.
Converted to shorty 1974 and registered as Parr Special from then. Based on 1963 mini mk1, with Heritage certificate from British Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirming March 1963 build date at Longbridge, Birmingham.
Much loved vehicle which had lots of use including trips to South of France.
Non running so needs trailering.
