Description
A rare special edition Rover 100 Ascot SE 5 door from 1997 with low mileage which has been a one owner car* bought new and garaged for its life. Consequently it has only surface rust to items such as the exhaust.
It has done less than 40 miles since its current MOT which it passed with no Advisories on the 21st October 2025.
There are some minor flaws with this car hence the low asking price - see photos. The worst is a minor scrape along the drivers side with small 'dings' to the wheel arches which should be easily fixed. A small mark on the upper surface of the rear bumper cause by a minor spill should again be easily repaired. There are some scuffed wheel trims.
Some photos show the car sitting rather low, so the suspension has recently been pumped up to give the correct ride height.
* The V5 shows 2 previous owners which is because it was originally purchased on behalf of the owner by her son as an employee of Rover Group. Thus the first Registered Keeper is recorded as Rover Group, Company Vehicle Control, Longbridge but this was transferred to the long term keeper immediately. The current keeper is the the son who is the Executor for the estate of the long term keeper.
I inherited this car and it is an excellent opportunity to acquire a structurally sound example of what is now a rare example of a high spec (for its time) super mini.
It starts first time and the suspension is at the correct height.
It was serviced and MOT'd regularly until the owner was no longer able to drive.
Minor and cosmetic damage easily repaired and probably also the n/ s rear door central unlocking.
