History: Full service history in a mix of stamped book and invoices: BMW dealer originally, an independent garage under the previous owner, and an independent BMW garage throughout my ownership, which began in February 2024. It comes with the original 1998 brochure and price list supplied with the car, the complete leather wallet including the owner’s manual, two remote keys and a spare manual key.
Work completed in my ownership:
• Both rear wheel arches rust-treated within the last 16 months
• Radiator, air conditioning condenser, coolant expansion tank and thermostat replaced
• Front brake discs, calipers and pads replaced at various points
• Oil filter housing gasket and driver’s side rear spring replaced
• Power steering fluid flushed
• Engine oil service 1, 500 miles ago
• New battery
• Four Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres (205/ 55 R16), plenty of tread left
Original factory options: automatic air conditioning (still fully functional 28 yrs later), sport multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, Style 45 alloys, Park Distance Control, rain-sensing wipers, headlight washers, front fog lights, on-board computer, factory alarm, auto-dimming interior mirror, electric windows and a front centre armrest. Extras: I’ve fitted an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo with hands-free telephony (the original BMW radio interface is still retained) and a front and rear dashcam. A selection of inherited spares comes with the car, including a Mann oil filter, rear light bulb carriers (circuit-board panels) and ATE brake pads.
Condition: The interior is in very good order with minimal wear. Bodywork is very good, with a couple of minor scratches and a scuff to the driver’s side front bumper.
It’s a reluctant sale: with new jobs, my wife and I are driving far less and only need one car now.

Having caught the E46 bug previously, and recently moved back to the UK from abroad, I knew I wanted a 328i or 330i manual saloon.
I quickly found a good example in Feb 2024, and instantly loved both the slick manual gear change and the silky, charismatic and willing straight-six engine. Moreover, the overall service ease/ durability, decent boot size, cabin space and 4 doors make this a genuinely good daily driver (less the fuel economy, especially in the city!)
In over 2. 5 yrs of ownership, I've proposed to the lady who became my wife, moved house, gotten married and had three jobs... and this fine Munich Mile Muncher has not missed a beat throughout.
The sale is a reluctant one; with my wife's commute being easier by bus, and mine often only between the bedroom and home office/ kitchen, we need one car rather than two. Otherwise, I'd take this car to 200k miles and beyond (which they are more than capable of).
