Description
I’ve owned my M3 for over twelve years, importing it from the UK to Ireland. Its previous owner had it for a decade before that. A lot of its history, going back to its original delivery service, is in the file.
Other cars have come and gone over the 12 years, but the M3 has always stuck around. Because I love it to drive, because it is simple and bulletproof, because has been a practical classic when I wanted to pack in a few kids or drop the seats. And because it is Dakar Yellow over Black Nappa Leather, with sunroof and without rear spoiler - it took me nearly a year to find what I wanted and I still adore the spec.
Initially modifications were only to the steering rack, where a linear rate ‘purple tag’ rack was fitted, improving the drive significantly. E46 M3 front calipers were also fitted. Then a few years back I gave it a comprehensive mechanical overhaul. Underside stripped to metal and any repairs needed done, fuel tank cleaned. Subframes and suspension blasted and painted, new OE heatshields, OE fuel lines and OE brake lines from caliper to servo. New discs and pads. New OE oil pump. The bottom end inspected and OE bearings fitted. An entire cooling system replaced with OE including hoses, aside from an upgraded alloy Mishimoto radiator. The engine bay was also refreshed and painted while the engine and front end had been dropped off. Finally, a KW v3 suspension platform was fitted.
There is currently 103k miles on the clock, and an NCT for another year on it. Last service was with Des Goldens in Sept-25. There are 4 fresh Michelin Pilot Sports under it.
It is very tough to be selling; it has been there for most of my youngest kids life and all them are emotionally attached to it. But I have had a lot of adventures with it, and its time to have some more with something else.
It is priced to sell; no part-exchanges welcome and serious enquires only.
