JAGUAR MK2 3. 4L OVERDRIVE
French origin
Matching number
Jaguar Heritage Certificate
Electric power steering
A very fine example of a Jaguar Mark II in its 3. 4-litre Overdrive form.
Interior "RED" / Exterior "Opalescent Silver Blue"
This car was delivered on 23 January 1962 to the Delecroix dealership in Paris. According to our research, it has had only four owners.
Worth noting is its French origin, which is quite rare, especially on this model.
The "Opalescent Silver Blue" gives it real English charm. Coupled with the red leather interior, the car looks as if it has rolled straight out of Her Majesty's own collection.
The bodywork is in good condition and shows some wear and age-related imperfections. The paintwork was refreshed a few years ago.
The chrome brightwork is well presented and complete.
The car is fitted with its four original wheels (wire wheels being an option at the time) on which sit four nearly-new Michelin XVS tyres.
Under the bonnet, it carries its original 3. 4-litre engine fed by SU carburettors, recently serviced.
It has its original overdrive.
The previous owner spent heavily on maintenance, always opting for parts from Jaguar specialists.
Recent outlays include:
- Installation of electric power steering
- Replacement of water pump and fuel pump
- Replacement of brake master cylinder
- Installation of a 4-piston aluminium front brake caliper conversion kit
- Installation of a high-performance cooling fan and an alternator
Finally, the interior is of high quality, in its original colour. The red interior really makes its mark. The upholstery is lightly patinated but in very good condition, as are the carpets. The wood veneers are in standard condition. one will appreciate the charm of the wooden rear tablets. A cosy, warm interior that invites you to settle in and hit the road in this luxury grand tourer.
