Description
Before being called Spitfire, this魅 seductive British convertible bore at Triumph the codename “Bomb.” Harry Webster and his team, tasked with designing this sportscar intended to answer the small Austin-Healey Sprite, decided to commission the drawing from Giovanni Michelotti, who had just signed the Triumph Herald.
This pretty Spitfire is a left-hand-drive example. This version belongs to the MK IV generation, which still uses the 1. 3L engine but benefits from a revised interior and modernised body styling.
It has undergone a refurbishment and a high-quality interior.
The panelwork is sound, the hood is in very good condition. The engine bay is clean, and the whole car has been regularly serviced.
In nice, well-preserved condition, it will surely appeal to collectors looking to enjoy a small, approachable English roadster!
