Description
Jaguar Mk II 3. 8-litre, year 1962.
Dark blue colour paired with a red leather interior and red carpets.
This very beautiful Jaguar Mk II was carefully restored in the past; the car is in very good condition and runs perfectly.
The Jaguar Mk II enjoyed great success and was one of the most desirable British saloons of the early 1960s.
This top-of-the-range model is fitted with the largest Jaguar engine of the era; the 3. 8-litre XK six-cylinder, and a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive! The inline six of 3, 781 cm3 produced 220 bhp, and a 3. 8 with the manual gearbox was a genuine 200 km/ h machine, making most sports cars of the early 1960s look tame.
Due to its potential, the car was very popular with the police—and also with the crime syndicate. This magnificent Jaguar Mk II presents all original details, including steel disc wheels with chrome hubcaps and the rear wheel “skirts”. The luxurious interior exudes the atmosphere of a premium British gentlemen’s club, with wool carpeting, costly leather upholstery and walnut wood throughout.
The sporting character of the Mk II is revealed by the throaty roar of the twin-cam six-cylinder engine and the gorgeous instrument panel packed with gauges and switches. This Jaguar is fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust and the car is supplied complete with the original toolkit stored in the spare wheel.
This Jaguar is ready to show all its potential to a proud new owner.
