History:
This 308 GTB was delivered new in Italy, where it remained in the hands of its first owner from 1979 to 1995 in Rome. It then belonged to two other owners in Rome: the first for two years, the second for nine years, before being sold to a fourth owner in Brindisi in 2006. This last owner kept it until 2015.
These details are visible on the car’s original registration document.
Mechanically, the latest service was carried out in May 2025 at 55, 050 km by a Ferrari specialist. It included: a carburettor overhaul, replacing brake hoses and brake fluid, and a revision of the ignition.
Another Ferrari specialist carried out a major service in November 2024, including replacement of the timing belt, engine and gearbox sump seals, spark plugs, suspension arms & bushings, and an engine and gearbox oil change.
As an iconic model for the marque, the Ferrari 308 will be remembered as the first mid-engined V8 berlinetta, thus inaugurating a long line of successful models. Only 2, 180 examples were produced in steel with a dry-sump configuration.
This well-presented example is a superb opportunity for the brand’s collectors and enthusiasts looking to take their first steps into the world of classic Ferrari.
