With only 4, 150 examples produced, the Austin Healey 100/ 6 BN6 is becoming a rare model on the market.
Its clean, sculpted line gives this English roadster a unique character.
In white with a sky-blue interior, the English charm immediately wins you over!
This example, presented very well, also has overdrive; a pleasant driving attribute.
Owned by its owner for several years, it has been kept and maintained as it should be in a specialist workshop.
A full repaint was carried out a few years ago. It now shows a beautiful patina and the bodywork is impeccable.
A hoist inspection allowed us to verify the absence of corrosion in the chassis and sills.
The chrome is bright.
The car is fitted with chromed wire wheels in good condition. The tyres are nearly new.
The interior is rather well preserved. The sky-blue upholstery with beige piping shows a few signs of wear like the dashboard.
The door panels are well presented, as is the carpet.
It has a blue tonneau cover and a grey fabric hood, both in good condition. The side screens are also present.
The instrumentation is functional. As mentioned above the car has overdrive on 3rd and 4th. This was removed and repaired in 2019..
Additional insulation has been installed in the cabin for comfort.
Mechanically, the maintenance is impeccable (invoices dossier).
The last routine service dates from July 2024 (engine oil, replace filters, lubrication and replacement of defective wishbones).
A complete carburettor adjustment has been carried out.
Many costs have been incurred, and among the most significant:
- replacement of the fuel pump and water pump
- replacement of the brake master cylinder
- replacement of the exhaust silencer
- installation of a second cooling fan
- rectification of valve seats and valve stem seals
- removal and replacement of the carburettors (standard exchange)
- complete refurbishment of the gearbox
- replacement of the dynamo with an alternator
- refurbishment of the electrical circuit
The car has a cut-off switch and two new batteries.
A sense of freedom coupled with real driving sensations, that is the DNA of this mythical roadster.
