The Appeal
The 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK 230K Final Edition marks the closing chapter of the W208 generation, offering a fitting send-off to one of Mercedes’ most elegant early-2000s coupés and convertibles. Limited to just 100 late-production cars, the Final Edition combined subtle exterior detailing with an upgraded interior specification, making it a particularly appealing model when new and an increasingly sought-after modern classic today. Its supercharged four-cylinder engine and traditional rear-wheel-drive layout further reinforce its appeal to enthusiasts.
This example is presented in rare Cubanite Silver Metallic and was first registered in February 2003. Showing a low mileage of circa 55,573 miles and having had only three keepers from new, it remains largely original. The exterior presents well overall, with only minor age-related blemishes such as a small paint chip, light cracking on the fuel cap, and a scratch to the driver’s door handle. The Final Edition wing badges, grille, bonnet emblem, chrome trims, 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, and soft-top roof all remain in good order, contributing to the car’s well-kept appearance.
Inside, the Final Edition specification really sets this CLK apart. The Anthracite Nappa leather and Alcantara interior presents particularly well, with minimal wear and a noticeably richer feel than a standard W208. Features such as heated memory seats, black ash wood trim, the original wood and leather steering wheel, and the Avantgarde instrument cluster enhance the cabin’s sense of quality. Said to be supported by a “fully stamped Mercedes service book, recent maintenance in December 2025, a fresh annual service”, and an MOT valid until June 2026, the seller describes the car as being in “outstanding, collector-grade condition and ready for immediate use”.
