1980 Ferrari 308 GT4
Amazing condition, superb history, 52K Miles
Presented in Argento Silver with Blue Connolly hide, this stunning, low milage GT4 is now available for sale. A rare find in such lovely condition, with arrow straight panels, beautiful paintwork, a very well maintained engine and not an oil leak in sight! The Ferrari was supplied new to gentleman farmer Mr. John Greenly of Titley Court, Herefordshire. He ordered it in white with blue Connolly hide, a Blaupunkt radio, a passenger door mirror and the very rare factory option of a luggage platform replacing the rear seats. It is believed that there are only four right hand drive 308 GT4s with this option. Mr Greenly kept it until his death in the early nineties. In 1995 the car was sold by the family to a neighbour who had known the car since new, with about 30, 000 miles on the clock. Talacrest then sold the car in October 1998, selling it again in 2000 when the owner relocated to the US. They changed the colour to factory Argento Silver in November 2000 on the request of the next buyer who eventually changed it for a 550 Maranello. The GT4 was bought by a gentleman in Surrey who cherished the car until last year. The history file includes full details of ownership, extensive service history including numerous cam belt changes, records of the specification and lots of preventative maintenance work. Rardley Motors and The Ferrari Centre have maintained the car for the last thirteen years. The Ferrari Centre in Maidstone carried out a full cam belt service at 52, 636 miles, just 200 miles ago. Overall this is a superb example in very good order throughout. Not a sign of any rust anywhere, very good paintwork and just the right amount of patina on the interior. With the tool kit, original service book and manuals and 2 sets of keys all present. This is an authentic, magazine featured classic V8 Ferrari at a price point which will only increase as genuine examples of these GT4’s are now becoming sought after.
