1986. Finished in Torch Red with beige interior. This Corvette was delivered new to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1986 before coming to the U. K. just two years later in 1988 and has a recorded 50, 000 miles which is supported by every U. K. M. O. T since 1990.
This C4 is an exceptionally original car which by condition alone tells a story of a charmed life.
All usual refinements of the period including air conditioning, electric seat, electric windows to name a few. The car also retains the original 1986 handbook signed by the '86 Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal.
In 1986, to mark the launch of the new C4 Convertible, Chevrolet took up the sponsorship of the Indy 500 and provided 56 Corvettes to the iconic race circuit, both to pace the oval racing and also to use as official vehicles for VIPs, sponsors, celebrity guests and around the paddock. This one is a replica of those iconic Pace Cars. A red C4 in the exact specification, with a genuine Indy 500 dashboard plaque.
