The appeal

The MGA is one of the most famous British sports cars of the 1950s. Its sleek, aerodynamic bodywork marked a bold departure from the traditional, boxy styling of MGs, and combined with a responsive four-cylinder engine and a smooth four-speed manual gearbox, it remains an extremely enjoyable car to drive on winding roads today.

This red-and-black example has been in the current owner’s possession since 1988 and was imported into France in 1993. Having apparently been driven for no more than a week a year and kept in the garage at all times, the car is in a condition that the seller considers to be very good in every respect. A faulty speedometer cable is the only issue noted that requires attention. Offered for sale as the 72-year-old owner does not expect to return to France, this long-owned MGA represents an interesting opportunity for a classic car enthusiast.
