Porsche's foray into tractor production during the 1950s and 1960s remains one of the marque's most fascinating chapters, and the Junior 108 sits at the heart of that story. Powered by a modest single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and paired with a ZF gearbox, these compact workhorses were built with the same engineering rigour that defined Porsche's sports cars. Today, they are highly collectable as a result.
This 1959 example is particularly noteworthy for its unrestored originality. The vendor reports that it is one of the rarest surviving Junior 108 models to remain in original condition, as the vast majority of Porsche tractors have long since been subject to restoration. Having reportedly passed through just three registered keepers in its 66-year life, it has been part of the current owner's collection since 2017, during which time it has been kept in dry storage. It started on the first attempt after standing for seven years, speaking to the robustness of its mechanicals.

There's an old saying that "they're only original once", and that certainly applies to this Porsche 108. The original paintwork has faded and worn beautifully with age and use, while remaining remarkably in intact for an agricultural vehicle entering its seventh decade. The wheels and seat have been refinished to brighten the tractor's appearance, but in every other respect, it is reported to remain highly original save for the fitment of locally sourced Abarth bonnet catches.

With a single-cylinder naturally aspirated air-cooled diesel engine, these tractors were designed to be exceedingly simple. Fuel, air, compression, and you're away.
