Rare SAH polyester (GRP) bonnet with integrated air intake
Why is it special?
The Triumph TR4 has long been a popular choice in the UK hillclimb and sprint racing scene. Lightweight Works replicas offer an attractive blend of period styling and real racing potential. This 1966 example has been built to evoke the official factory cars. It is presented in the traditional Works TR powder blue and benefits from extensive use of ultra-light fibreglass body panels to reduce weight.
At the heart of the car is a Bradbury Engineering 2,289cc engine in Stage 2+ configuration, designed for performance, combined with a rebuilt gearbox and competition-oriented suspension. Safety equipment includes a rear roll bar, alloy firewall, safety harnesses and a master circuit-breaker.
Importantly, this TR4 remains road-legal. So you can drive to an event, take part in the competition and then drive the car home.image.png858.41 KB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are registered as written off as part of a total loss at the time the advert is placed on Car & Classic and provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the status of the vehicle and it is always worth carrying out a full vehicle history check before making an offer on it.
